Stay away from pesticides

 

Exposure to pesticides has indicated an increased risk among PD patients. Lack of physical activity, heavy metals, air pollution, traumatic brain injury, and industrial solvents has also been linked to increased risk among PD patients, but will require more study.

Copper is super!

 

The metal copper can have beneficial effects in neurodegenerative disorders. Impaired copper levels have been linked to a number of neurodegenerative conditions, including Parkinson's disease (PD). Consumption of copper rich food such as nuts, seeds and leafy greens can be helpful.

Meditation can be helpful

 

Practicing meditation can be a significant contributing factor in improving health of PD patients as meditation has been shown to release dopamine in the striatum (the affected part). Repeating a sound, word or prayer; or an object to focus on; and taking deep breaths while meditating in a comfortable position can help.
